Why Mektup exists
I built Mektup because I needed it myself. I'm Mahir, the founder. I wanted one email system that was simple: all my domains and inboxes in one organised dashboard, where I could also create email for the customers of my agency, for my AI agents and for the people on my team.
Most of what existed didn't cut it. The tools were either made for sending from code or for one person's inbox, slow to set up, and hard to use on more than one device. I wanted something easier to use, quick to onboard and reachable from anywhere: in the browser, on a phone or in any mail app.
That is Mektup. Every domain and every inbox under one login, ready for a person, a client or an agent.
How Mektup is run
- Paid accounts only, so the shared mail servers stay free of spam.
- Limits on every way out (API, MCP, SMTP, forms, forwards, auto-replies), so a mistake or a stolen key can't flood the internet.
- Addresses that bounce are suppressed, protecting everyone's reputation with Gmail and Outlook.
- GDPR: mail is stored in the EU; the privacy policy lists every subprocessor.
