# Mektup

> Self-hosted, multi-domain email platform. Register a domain, get real inbound and outbound email, provisioned through a web dashboard, a REST API, an MCP server, or a CLI - built for developers and the AI coding agents (Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, Bolt, v0, Replit) they build with.

Mektup solves the gap between "I bought a domain" and "I have a working inbox on it." Transactional-email APIs cover outbound only; Mektup covers both directions, generates real DKIM/SPF/DMARC records for any domain, and never touches DNS itself - it hands back the exact records to add wherever the domain's DNS already lives. Every operation (register a domain, create a mailbox, send mail, read mail, manage drafts/contacts/folders/forwarding/vacation replies) is available as a documented REST endpoint and as a native MCP tool, so an AI agent can complete real email setup for a domain inside its own session.
